How the guest gifting scheme works with...

...your booking terms and conditions:

If you have booked accomodation with us, your booking terms and conditions form will contain the following paragraph:-

GUEST GIFTING SCHEME: Bedruthan is committed to promoting sustainable tourism; therefore we will automatically add an additional £5 to your accommodation booking, which will go directly to support your choice of one of the following causes:

• Carbon offset with co2balance
• Surfers Against Sewage
• The Community Fund
• IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO OPT OUT OF THIS SCHEME PLEASE TICK HERE

Please clearly mark the cause to which you would like your £5 donation to go. If you return your form without having made a selection we will automatically select The Community Fund where 100% of your £5 donation will go towards helping local initiatives within St Mawgan-in-Pydar.

…if you can’t decide:

Please read the additional information which provides: the background to each cause or relevant organisation; an overview of what Bedruthan is already doing to help; and website addresses and links for further reading.

…if you change your mind:

If you have already returned your signed booking terms and conditions form before reading the additional information and have changed your mind, please simply let a member of our reception staff know, either over the phone prior to your arrival or at any time during your stay with us.

…if you’d rather not donate:

Not a problem, we do not expect everyone to donate to our chosen causes and hope you forgive us for asking, it is simply something we are particularly passionate about.  Please just let us know, either by marking the relevant part of your booking terms and conditions form or by speaking to a member of our reception staff at any time during your stay with us, if you would like to opt out.

…if you’d like to donate more than £5:

If you would like to donate more to one of our causes, please ask reception to add your specified amount when you pay your final bill.

…with your money:

All money donated through our Guest Gifting Scheme goes directly to the chosen organsiation; money raised for co2balance and Surfers Against Sewage is sent, by cheque, once a month. Money raised for The Community Fund is held by our Finance team until our quarterly grant(s) or sponsorship(s) are awarded.
